I don't have to be back at work for ten freaking days. I'm including weekends to my vacay because...well, I can. Ten whole damn days without work.
Don't get me wrong. I'm a pre-k teacher and I LOVE my job. My kids are so clever and silly and adorable. But, I've never had a real vacation. You know, where you pack, you leave, and you stay somewhere for a whole week. I've never had that. So, starting Monday, I will officially be taking a vacation.
Now, the one thing I don't think I can take a vacation from is writing. I'll be packing my laptop and charger and a plethora of notebooks and pens. I love writing in our RV. Early in the morning when its still a little chilly out. I can hear birds and the wind moving in the trees. I can smell coffee and water and the woods. I love it. I can pound out 5 thousand words in a sitting out there. So, I'm taking it with me.
Still working on two projects. I'm taking the weekend to pack, get ready, and to see Captain Marvel, so not much will get done. My goal is, while on my vacation, to get at least 8 thousand words done. I'll have time, quiet, and opportunity. This is going to be great!
