I missed work yesterday, due to a sick child. My 2 year old has strep and ended up t the ER. She's fine now, but the sleepless night and subsequent hospital trip ended up with me very drained. Even as she turned the corner, sleeping through the worst of it, I zoned out in front of Friends on Netflix. Today, she seems to be doing great. No fever since yesterday afternoon, so its back to work for me.
I did get some good news! My beta reader for Broken Eden got back to me on chapter 2! Very few comments, lots of praise. Also, a reader here took a gander at my short story The Corpse Road and appeared to like it (per a comment on Facebook)
I cut my hair this weekend. I was able to fit into TWO shirts I don't wear anymore. Apparently, 2019 is the year I'm killing my writing and wellness goals.
Of course, I'm 19 days into a squat challenge and I'm up at 5am, so I'm super tired, but maybe that's the key to success?
