No quarantine for me

In the midst of this pandemic, it appears that the school/daycare I work for is considering us essential personnel. Our hours have been cut due to the lack of children, but we're not closing any time soon. I still can't decide how I feel about that. I KNOW some of our parents need us to stay open, but considering I am considered high risk for complications from COVID-19, I'm a little wary.

In any event, I was off yesterday and I go in late today. I haven't written yet, but that's because I've been taking advantage of being able to sleep in.

With the excess sleep, however, my mind has come to the conclusion that I have written myself into a hole and the only way out is to delete 3 chapters and start over. I know. Just the thought give me heart issues. I think I know how to fix all of this, scary as it is.

I got Lola back! She had to have a complete remodel from the water spill, so the keyboard, track pad, wrist rest and all of that were replaced. It was pricey, but worth it. Even the repair technician said Lola is a nice little laptop. I love the damn thing. I'm so happy I'm back to her.

My second grader is out of school until April 5th. We haven't had many cases of COVID-19 but they're being cautious. I appreciate that as someone with autoimmune disease and asthma. She has to get school work done and I'll be doing additional training online to help my paychecks. Hopefully, I can get some writing done now that I know what I need to do.

I'll be updating again this weekend with excerpts and a little brainstorming idea for the next novel, Broken Eden.

Stay safe out there,

-C.A.
