Its Just Another Manic Monday

In other news, I had my first CAT scan yesterday. That was fun. I woke up Sunday morning with a sudden onset headache I could NOT get to abate. I've had migraines before, though my last one turned out to be high blood pressure.

This one did NOT feel like all of my other migraines, presented completely differently. I called the teledoc thing we have and was told to high tail it directly to the hospital.

I was in for a couple of hours, had reams of testing done. I was nervous because of how nervous the hospital staff seemed. They were, rightfully so, treating me as though I was an emergency. They checked for everything from a brain tumor to a bleed. In the end, I was diagnosed with an acute migraine with atypical presentation. A lot of worry for a smallish problem.

At the beginning of all of this, I really did feel as though my head was going to explode. I'm happy to have definite answers. I know a lot of things with that particular symptom can be damn deadly.

In any event, I feel a bit better today. Going to attempt heading to work. So, I will try to get some writing done this morning. I have taken my migraine meds, I have coffee, and I slept. Lets see what we can get done.

The end of this thing is near. I can see the light at the end of the damn tunnel.
