High Note

I never expected this week to turn out the way it did. Honestly, I'm still not entirely sure all of this isn't a mistake. I mean, someone in the publishing industry saw enough potential in my book to say "I'm going to spend my valuable time reading this thing."

That's inspiring and humbling all at the same time.

I'm going to try to get some writing done this weekend. I may not get further than a few paragraphs in longhand, but that'll be enough for me.

I found out that my favorite writing group is going to put on another Dare to Dream seminar this January. I took one at the beginning of 2019 and it changed everything. I had labored for over a year editing my first draft, hadn't even hit the halfway point. The seminar I took (shout out to Whitney Davis and Writing Workshops Dallas) gave me tools and motivation. I finished editing that bad boy almost 3 weeks ahead of my self-imposed schedule, got queries done, and even got a manuscript request.

Even if nothing comes from that request, I KNOW it has potential. I can feel it. I can't give up, not when I'm this close.

I wrote a whole book. I edited a whole book. I've written query letters. I've taken classes.

Again. I wrote a whole damn book. That means something, doesn't it?

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I know my good mood is going to carry right the hell on!
